Acts 2:44-47 tells us that “all the believers were together and had everything in common…Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”  

As modern Christians, it’s hard to imagine such awesome community!  We read Luke’s writing and think that Spirit-filled, loving community must have been reserved for the early Church.  And yet, we long for a place of acceptance and love; we long to share our lives with other believers who not only care about us, but who can identify with and love us through the struggles of life.  We long for community that not only impacts, but changes our lives.
